We are seeking a full-time Technical Product Manager/Service Manager to join our team. What You Will Do:
As Technical Product/Service Lead, you’ll be the operations lead for our Service Center at our main location in the Vancouver/Burnaby area. This role will work on our technical products, whether they are Ebikes, or Electrical Conversion Kits, or other innovative solutions we continuously work on. It includes assembling, installation, and quality assurance and control for safety before delivery.

You’ll train your team or go through training with your team, engage with customers to recommend the right service at the right time, manage and control service costs, keep service orders organized, and take an active lead in ensuring the right solutions/products are built and delivered to your customers.

If you like to problem solve, work with customers to solve their repairs and installation issues on bikes, motors, controllers, conversion kits, and specially if you are comfortable with creating video guides for every new product, we want you!

Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Supervise the work of electrical and mechanical technicians and other assigned personnel for timely implementation of planned activities, installation, and repairs work orders for each product, in the workshop or through Remote Video call
  • Perform duties peculiar to and normally required in the trade of electric motors, controllers, bicycles, following recognized procedures and techniques for such work
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the engineering manager during the design, prototype, installation, and improvement of each technical product
  • Ability to create instruction and procedures (Document and Video Guides) for each technical product (Not to be Camera Shy!)
  • Fault finding and wiring checking with knowledge of electric motors, Controllers, LCDs, programming, and similar systems, such as in Electric Bicycles; Test wiring connections with test equipment like volt/ohmmeters and oscilloscopes
  • Provide training to junior technical staff, dealers, or individual customers for assembly, repairs, and replacement
  • Assist in inventory management of materials, such as bike accessories, tools, spare parts, and other materials as needed
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for the technicians, increase equipment availability to meet the needs of Operations, with proper care and maintaining of all technical assets, as well organization and cleanliness of the workshop
  • Should be able to handle the workshop effectively with a focus on improvements and knowledge of modern concepts of maintenance
  • Maintain records and prepare reports on repairs completed or on units requiring future special service, as well as tools

Physical Requirements and Special Demands:

  • Required standing or sitting for several hours straight at a time
  • Frequently bend and twist throughout the day
  • Occasionally lift over 40lbs

What You Bring:

  • Technician Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Mechanical & Electrical Engineering background
  • Equivalent plus 4/5 years’ experience as a Senior Electro-Mechanic with experience as Team Leader / Workshop Supervisor
  • Comprehensive experience as bicycle mechanics, and/or electric bikes
  • Good knowledge of workshop equipment, parts interpretation, and electrical/mechanical inventory
  • Prior experience working in a service department or customer-facing role
  • High level of competence in oral and written communication, with computer/smartphone literacy for supervising customer ticketing systems
  • A positive and friendly attitude and motivation to help every customer find what they need, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A passion for bikes, micro-mobility, tech, and for reducing the environmental impact of the transportation industry
  • Previous experience with electric bikes or scooters is a plus!
  • Proactive approach to staying up to date on industry changes and trends

What will you do?

  • Responsible for all technical aspects of E-Vehicle product development (Managing each Project)
  • Lead and control multiple technical R&D projects, to consistently and reliably deliver solutions within budget and tight timelines
  • Interface with various internal departments, ensuring effective communication, bringing clarity to project deliverables and schedules; identifying uncertainties and mitigates risk
  • Participate in design reviews, technical co-ordination meetings, and in-house product development process

What will you need to succeed?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, or Applied Science, preferably Electrical – Mechanical Engineering
  • Excellent knowledge in FEM (Finite Element Method) software such as Ansys or STAR-CCM+
  • Experience in E-Vehicle products design such is an asset
  • Experience with 3D modeling CAD software (Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD) is an asset
  • Advanced project management experiences and skills. PMP is an asset
  • Ability to deal with a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).

What You Will Do:

As the Market Research Specialist, you are responsible for both Envo’s brand identity and market development and will be assisting with establishing Envo’s brand, from sales and marketing to client relationships aspects. This includes understanding the product Lifecycle, gathering, and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering executives at Envo to deliver winning products.

This role requires you to wear multiple hats, with both a sharp eye for analytics and a passion for brand, creativity, and storytelling. In addition, you are directly experienced in 7Ps marketing mix strategy model, understanding markets, and are capable of market development planning for technical and innovative/new Electro-Mechanical products especially Ebikes, E-motorcycles or related products. You must have enough technical knowledge to understand a product’s structure, composition, and applications. And also you are able to analyze market data and brand/position the product and have to predict costs and manage budgets.

The ideal candidate has a business mindset and nurtured early ideas in the past and turned them into tangible applications in electric (micro) mobility sector. You are motivated by ownership, want to work with a small and rapidly-growing team that shares similar values.

  • Present information to develop key competition graphs
  • Provide support for marketing research throughout range of initiatives
  • Evaluate and interpret research results, formulate conclusions and suggestions
  • Plan, execute and supervise marketing research projects
  • Recommend solutions and identify marketing strategies to maintain competitive market benefits
  • Research and analyze market trends to determine market needs
  • Consult with and develop relations with marketing and product development teams plus operations to identify research needs and execute recommendations

  • Assess characteristics of products to be promoted and advise on the advertising needs

  • Conduct public opinion and attitude surveys to identify the interests and concerns of key groups of clients
  • Assist in establishing our brand to reach all of North America’s sustainable minded audience, and driving brand awareness, consideration and relevance amongst the target audiences
  • Manage new product launch campaigns in cooperation with Marketing Manager
  • Strong collaboration and coordination with Sales department

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least four years of industry experience
  • Technical knowledge on Electro-Mechanical products
  • Technical knowledge of Ebikes or related products is a plus
  • A Master’s degree on marketing or MBA is a plus
